Learn More About Referral Selling

I recently got to attend a referral show for the local PSB Chamber of Commerce for the express purpose of seeing what they had to offer. Basically from last year, the PSB has organized such a show for free to 60,000 businesses. Many of these businesses are called “direct selling” businesses. These types of businesses exist to help part-time work-at-home moms. I was so excited last year to take advantage of these demonstrations.

I walked away with great experiences both retailing products and learning about direct selling. I was so surprised at what I had learned. More importantly, I was so inspired to do business with direct selling businesses. The PSB gave me this opportunity to listen and learn.

Referral selling is about understanding your client and inviting them to do business with you because you believe in the products and services you sell or the other businesses in your network. Basically, referral selling is serving. Selling is an exchange of value. Service is a sacred relationship. Spousal relationships are built on trust the trust of your client.

Referral selling is the process of taking someone to do business with you and automatically giving them evidence that their referrer has made a good decision by being represented by your company. Each business, either directly or the third party has a database of clients and customers. The same principles apply as in selling to new customers that you or your company takes on new clients.

The success of your business and the judge of the business is based on the effectiveness of the relationship. Anything you do that exceeds the satisfaction of your customer means more business for your company. The satisfaction of your clients can be enhanced by your personal relationship with them and your companies accommodating practices. Customer service is the most important positive as we know. You have a unique ability to tap into people’s desires to know you, like you, and trust you. Those three variables will provide much value.

The business of referral selling is mostly value-based. These people are satisfied. They want more. They have built-in repeat business. Creating consumer demand creates cash flow, which creates an opportunity for your business to grow. Referral selling is a two-way street. It not only benefits one company but it benefits plenty of companies as well.

If you are familiar with J. Paul Getty, he was asked how it was that he could receive so much command over a business, and he replied “I ask my clients or friends for new business”. Businesses are built on relationships. Referral selling should be a constant and energetic focus to earn income. The standard belief is to generate new business for new clients through the internet or computer systems; however, existing clients are just as important. Referral selling involves building networking (business to business) and personal relationships. Building personal relationships are built on trust, honesty, and integrity.

Referral selling has tremendous potential for success for any business. Referral marketing is about serving your customers, your prospects, as well as your competitors as business, is built on repeat business. Referral marketing is about connecting your clients with someone credible. Simple math shows that 600 friends increase your lifetime client by 1.3. Referrals provide the greatest return on investment than any other stream of business. Within the referral selling system, you will discover online or offline strategies to increase business. Simply put it works.

If I had not experienced the more indirect benefits of referral selling; to increase business, I would not have bookmark this blog nor would I have Sweet Relief training be a part of my decision-making criteria for the year. Introduction to both manual and internet referral marketing systems helps you learn how to make personal connections with your sources leading to more business. Not more band-aids financing brand building techniques.

10 Ways to Earn Money From Your Website Traffic

Just about anyone who runs an internet business can tell you that they struggled to keep to a schedule to make sure everything is running smoothly for their business. Nothing is more frustrating than coming home from a long day of working on your business only to find your website – from extras to even the site’s graphics – is all over the internet.

If you have a large business, your website will have grown with you as the business has grown with you. From time to time, you may want to make a new appearance. It’s up to you to make that happen and keeping to a schedule is helps you keep to your schedule.

Here are some steps to help a schedule-driven website generate money for business:

1. You Make a New Website

One way to keep to your schedule is to keep your business separate from your personal relationships. Having a website that is primarily used for business is not the best way to treat it. Staying in one place also makes it easier for you to put in a full eight hours of work a night even if you’re not the primary focus.

2. Look for a Paying Client

Your initial client may be one person in the whole world who may want a website, but that is unlikely. Do your best to diversify your client base. Build a relationship with other people who run large businesses and work a full eight hours a night.

By building business relationships and adding extra income to your business, you are likely to succeed in the long run.

3. Inform Others of Your Blog

One of the first ways to generate business is to inform others about your website and what it has to offer. You can inform people about your brand in general, as well or your website specifically. This gives you the chance to show off how great you are.

4. Create New Design Ideas for Your Website

When time is pressed for it, people are creative. You may not be able to design a new one for your website, especially if your current site is fairly plain. You may need to look closely at your current design. It may be time to add a blank header… or maybe you need to look at the graphics you have on hand.

5. Optimize Your Ten-Day Webinar

Once your website has been up and running for a few weeks, you can use it to promote your 10-day webinar. You can use banners and landing pages to convert new attendees into actual buyers.

6. Use Social Networks to Your Benefit

No matter if your web hosting service doesn’t allow you to use popular social sites to post photos of your staff and product photos and videos, social media sites like Facebook and Twitter. If your business is well established, you should have an active social sister site. This is a great way to expand your business by tapping into an existing Network.

7. Upgrade your Web Templates

Some web hosts don’t allow you to purchase and upgrade your web templates. Depending on your needs and preference: have a website designed for you by a web design firm or learn HTML, whichever you think is easier for you.

8. Check out the Competition

Making sure you are trying to keep up with your competition is important. Check out as many web designers and developers as you can find that offer rates and availability lower than the competition.

9. Always Update your Website

Sometimes web designers will have business hour restrictions. If you only have ten hours to design a website and you have to run a call tagging needing everyone to step in night and a marketing team in the hassles of updating your website for the day!

10. Send in a Proposal

In the end, the web designer will know what you are asking for. If the rates are lower, or somewhere in between, a professional web design firm will understand your needs and be able to design a website for you that will give you more positive results than another person who has the same need and limitations.

How Blogging Helps My Business?

As someone who runs a small business, how does blogging for business help my business? Well, to be honest with you I haven’t found a way to put a time schedule on when my blogs should be and I’m not sure if they are helping or hurting. It really depends on how you run your business and what your blogging goals are. If you are blogging just to make money, it’s going to affect how the rest of your business is run. However, if you are truly passionate about your blog, you will use it as another outlet for your creativity, as well as another revenue stream.

Now, you may be asking yourself how does blogging for business really help my business at all. The first thing you want to do is figure out a blogging strategy that works best for your business. There are literally hundreds of business blogging strategies that you can use, so take your time. Look at what other successful businesses are doing, then try to duplicate their success. Use the same principles that they are using.

A good blogging strategy for any business would include posting once a week, possibly on Sunday, and then another one on Wednesday. You can also use more than one blog post every day or every few days. How you decide to go about this is up to you. I personally like to have my blog posts are around 30 minutes long, so I do posts every single day.

Once you have your blogging strategy figured out, you will need to start implementing it. Now, the main reason that you are writing your blog posts is to communicate with your customers. Therefore, if you aren’t already communicating with them through your e-mails, now is the perfect time to do so. In order to get your customers’ attention and to keep them interested in your blog, you will want to make sure that your blog posts are informative and up to date.

Another good question to ask yourself when thinking about how does blogging helps my business? If you have a blog, then you will want to get people to visit your blog post and to read your blog post. If your blog isn’t visited often, then you won’t get many new leads or customers for your business.

There are a couple of different ways that you can make your blog posts interactive. You can change your blog template to incorporate a comment box with your blog URL in it. Then you can actually write blog posts that are interwoven with a comment box or a link to your website. You will want to make sure that you give your readers options on how they can leave their comments. For example, you might want to allow them to leave a comment using your web address as a username, but you might also allow them to leave a comment as “ugly”.

How does blogging help my business? It allows you to build relationships with other bloggers. If you are blogging, then you are building relationships. This is why it has been said that the most important step to starting a successful blog is to interact with your readers. Interacting with your readers will take you one step closer to having a large base of loyal readers.

Your readers will also tell other people about your blog. If you write a blog post that is popular, then other bloggers will want to repost your blog post and tell their friends. So how does blogging help my business? It will allow you to make a ton of money from the blog, all from interacting with your readers!

Is It Time for an Intervention? Overcoming Overwhelm for Online Business Success

In this Article:

  1. Confessions of an Online Research Junkie
  2. How to Overcome Analysis Paralysis in Online Marketing
  3. Effective Tool for Online Business Success

I have a confession: I am a Research Junkie.

That’s right, it takes more than 1 book to get my fix. I have to troll the back alleys of the library, indulge in way too many online sites, get the word on the street by lurking in seedy chat rooms, get my hand on magazines, ezines, newsletters, government papers, and public domain treasures.

It wasn’t always like this, well maybe it was. I wasn’t happy with just 1 Dr. Seuss’s book – I had to read the whole collection. And don’t even get me started on Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys. There was something satisfying about seeing all those titles lined up on my bedroom shelf. And, although I’ve given up my earliest dream of reading every book in the local library (you see, somewhere along the way I discovered boys!) I still get a rush at the thought of devouring new knowledge – and more importantly, testing out that knowledge to see what it can do!

Power of Knowledge and Danger of Overwhelm in your Online Business

So this is where your Online Business Success, or failure, comes in. You see, if you spend all of your time gathering the knowledge and chasing those rabbits down the rabbit holes and process maps, you are going to end up with a big brain and a small bank account.

The solution is really very simple, although most people get so caught up in trying to do their online marketing just perfectly, that they never start. So I want you do commit this powerful little phrase to memory:

“Done Trumps Perfection”

Just get started, Just Do It, Fail Fast, Know where you’re going, and don’t be afraid to adjust your course along the way.

Here’s what I do when I’m diving deep into a subject. If I’m learning about something to do with Online Marketing, I learn all I can, take a lot of notes, attend the webinars, purchase the courses all in the course of a single week.

Research to your heart’s content – for no more than a week. Then produce and implement something based on that research: A system, an ebook, a product…whatever. Produce something of value for your customers, and/or implement something that will keep your business growing.

You MUST unleash and take action on that knowledge in order for it to do you any good.

I usually take a day or two to let it all sink in and let my subconscious mind make some sense of it. I’ll map out a strategy, put it on paper, and talk it out with someone who is just as passionate as I am about this Online Business adventure.

Then, I Execute the Plan. I get it started, sending it off into the living, breathing lab that is at the heart of an Online Business.

Wait, That’s Not Completely True: My Powerful Tool for Online Business Success

Okay, I’m not being completely honest here. I don’t exactly execute my plan – I have a team of Outsourcers who implements the steps for me. Any online business that plans to be successful with their marketing must have some help. At a minimum, you need a VA. It’s your job, as the entrepreneur, to set the compass and provide some tools and knowledge; however, there is no reason why you can’t have a crew who keeps you moving forward.

Starting A Small Online Business

If you have been surfing around the web for a while you have probably heard about people making money or starting an extremely successful online business. Even though these stories cover the web and want you to pay a bunch of money so you can also make money they very rarely tell you the whole truth. Online business is anything, but easy and very rarely can you set up a residual income meaning you don’t need to constantly work for income. In most cases, you will have to fight for every visitor and every dollar you get. This is the usual case so if you have been thinking you would like the chance to make money online then try building a simple small online business and seeing where it takes you. The first step will be of course setting up your online business, next will be learning internet marketing, and finally, it will be necessary to learn how to make money from the traffic you generate.

Creating an online business is not nearly as complicated as many make it out to be. For those a little more serious about making a living online you may want to consider purchasing unlimited hosting though it is not mandatory. Once you have a platform that you can create the presence it is time to think of a niche that you thoroughly enjoy. A niche is what bloggers and webmasters call the topic of a website. A couple of good examples of a niche include “internet marketing”, “online business”, or “fishing”. Pick something that you truly love so when times are rough you don’t give up on the business.

If you create your online business go ahead and monetize it quickly with affiliate programs or PPC publishing. Some of the affiliate programs I found pay the highest commissions are get paid to take survey programs. The reason they are extremely easy to market is they are free for your audience and will actually help them begin to earn money. If you want to post some basic ads then go to Google AdSense or Chitika. Both will be free for you to join and will allow you to create simple ads to post on your website which will allow you to earn money every time a visitor clicks on an ad.

Saving the best for last it is time to talk about internet marketing and content creation. This is where millionaires are made those who create content that shoots across the web like a virus. You will need to learn some basic internet marketing such as SEO, link building, and branding which you can do in webmaster forums such as or on the major blogs out there. Really though your success will be seen in your ability to write content that touches people making them want to link to you and share your content across the web. Focus on creating content constantly becoming an expert content creator and try to fill the black holes within your niche that have not been covered. The best way to see if the content has already been written is by going to Google and searching for the title. If there are no posts or articles for the title then, by all means, write and publish the article.
